The past 2 weeks have been an extremely busy and hectic period in which most of my available attention has been concentrated on the issues and impacts to the village caused by the storms; communicating updates as best we could, responding to requests for information, and all the other things you can (and can't) imagine a Mayor might go through during these situations. However, sandwiched (but not lost) in the mix between Hurricane Sandy and the Nor'easter was an election, including the local election of 3 Trustees to the Village Board. I am very pleased that Donna Cassell, Bill Flynn, and David Koenigsberg will be remaining on the Board. Donna and Bill now embark on a second term with the confidence of one term now under their belts. David will be entering into his 4th term. All of these individuals have been outstanding Trustees. They do their homework, and they are always well prepared. Along with the other members of the board – Deputy Mayor Cathy Kay, Trustee Vic Golio, and Trustee Vincent Rossillo – residents should feel good that such good people are volunteering their time to work hard in a commitment to serve and give back to the community. We don't agree all the time, but we have worked hard to put the interests of the village ahead of politics and parties.
Congratulations to Donna, Bill, and David on their re-election – they deserve it - and I look forward to leading the board forward, working together for all the residents of Dobbs Ferry.
