Marcus Serrano - Interim Village Treasurer Finance Department: The Finance Department is located at 112 Main Street and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Finance Department is headed by the Village Treasurer, a public official appointed to a two-year term by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Trustees. As Chief Fiscal Officer of the Village, the Treasurer is authorized under Village Law to manage and invest all public funds. The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining all financial records, auditing transactions, assisting in budget preparation, and reporting fiscal performance to various regulatory agencies, including the Village Board of Trustees. The Treasurer oversees a staff of professionals who are responsible for various duties including purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and personnel, internal auditing, the billing and collection of property taxes, and the sale of various permits. Taxes Your residential property tax liability is divided into four components – village, town, county and school. The Village of Dobbs Ferry collects village taxes only. The Town of Greenburgh collects town, county and school taxes for the Village of Dobbs Ferry and other villages located in its jurisdiction. Village taxes are due every year by June 30th.
