Dobbs Ferry Schools Foundation Announces Scholarship Winners for 2000-2001 School Year

The Dobbs Ferry Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of its annual IB and Personal Achievement Scholarships. This year, the Foundation awarded $11K in academic scholarships to members of the graduating High School Class -- 6 $1,000 International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarships and 2 $3,000 Personal Achievement Awards.

Congratulations to the following IB scholarship winners:

In addition to the IB scholarships, which recognize outstanding academic achievement, the Foundation is pleased to award its 2nd annual Personal Achievement Scholarships. This award recognizes an individual or individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding ability to use the resources available to them to creating a high school experience that is totally positive and that inspires others. This year’s winners are Philip Chan and Melissa McCue.

The Foundation would also like to recognize the finalists for the Personal Achievement Scholarship who were selected by the faculty and administration of the high school and who deserve recognition for an outstanding high school career:

Since its inception in 1994, the Dobbs Ferry Schools Foundation (DFSF) has raised more than 2.7 million dollars through grants and contributions to enhance the education of Dobbs Ferry students. The Foundation encourages and supports good, innovative programs that are endorsed by teachers, administration, the Board and the Superintendent, but that cannot initially be funded by the school budget.
