2001 an Educational Odyssey dinner and auction was held at Tarrytown House in Irvington.

More than 230 people turned out for the Dobbs Ferry Schools Foundation’s annual fundraising gala held on March 10th at the Tarrytown House. This year’s theme, "2001: An Education Odyssey" helped bring in a record $86 thousand dollars to benefit Dobbs Ferry schools. There was a strong sense of community spirit and support for a school system that is "on the move," as Dobbs Ferry Schools Superintendent, Dr. Sidney Freund, described it. Community residents joined teachers, principals, the school board and Dr. Freund to celebrate the many impressive accomplishments of the Foundation in its relatively short (7 year) tenure.

One of the highlights of this year's fundraising gala was the formal recognition of the 16 Individuals who established the Foundation seven years ago. More on the Founders Award.
