I’d like to thank all of you, the good people of Dobbs Ferry, for your support in the recent election and for your confidence in me and our entire team. We had a message and platform that resonated with you, and you sent us a clear message back. I am humbled by the trust that you have put in us and feel privileged and honored to serve the Village and all of its residents.
So many of you have worked so hard on our behalf to reach all of our residents and share our vision. I’d like to thank everyone that joined with me on our Democratic ticket; Maura Daroczy, Christy Sheppard Knell, Vincent Rossillo, David Koenigsberg, George Latimer, our current Board members; Donna Cassell, Larry Taylor and Nicole Sullivan, our Campaign Chair and Democratic Committee Chair, Joy Haber, Democratic Vice Chair and Campaign Treasurer Ed Bullock, Democratic District Leaders, our special campaign advisors; former Mayor Don Marra, Marie and Arch McKellar, Celia Baldwin and Bruce Catania, Angelo Liberatore, Bruce Bernaccia, former Village Trustee Anna Lisa Corrales, Indivisible Irvington/Dobbs Ferry and our families, friends and neighbors who wrote letters, posted on social media, canvassed, phoned and many other efforts on our behalf and for being so supportive.
I also want to thank Mayor Hartley Connett, Deputy Mayor Vic Golio and Village Justice Steven Grant for their many major accomplishments, years of dedicated service to the people of Dobbs Ferry and for their support during the transition.
Your vote indicates you share a commitment to our vision and objectives, and it solidifies my commitment and our team’s commitment to serve you. And that is a big part of our plan -- that together, we will work through challenges and plan for our future in Dobbs Ferry.
But this is just the beginning of the process. I hope I have demonstrated through many years of volunteering, that I value the input and participation of all. We have a very aggressive agenda and our first initiatives are to implement much needed enhancements to our Village facilities (including recreational) and infrastructure (including Police and Fire vehicles and equipment) and improve traffic and parking and enhance communications between the Village and residents. We want to continue to hear your thoughts, and get as many people involved as possible as we move forward to improve the quality of life in the village.
So now, together, we turn the page and begin the next chapter for Dobbs Ferry.
