The Village Treasurer is appointed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees to serve as the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Village. He is responsible for maintaining all financial accounts as well as the preparation of the annual update document as required by New York State and oversees the annual audit process. He acts as financial steward to insure the ethical and responsible safekeeping of village assets and integrity of the financial information required for effective decision making by Village officials on all financial matters.
The Village's finances are maintained by the Village Treasurer, Jeff Chuhta, (914) 231-8503 in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Accounting records are structured in accordance with the Uniform System of Accounts as mandated by the New York State Comptroller's Office.
