Annual Progress Report

The Village of Dobbs Ferry recognizes that the world is experiencing a climate crisis. We are committed to strengthening our own response to it through the New York State Climate Smart Communities (CSC) program, administered by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The program incentivizes local governments to help their communities reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the effects of climate change, and promote green economies.

Sustainable Dobbs, (SD), whose members are appointed by the Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees, has
served as a focal point for the Village’s engagement with the CSC program. In 2023, SD identified
alignment with the program as a priority and set out to update documentation of relevant activities
already undertaken, as well as to encourage and/or carry out new actions to improve the Village’s
performance. Annual Progress Reports are a resource in tracking the Village’s progress as well as in identifying challenges, priorities, and goals.
